Andrew Ellison was born and raised in Ojai, California. He attended Villanova Preparatory High School, then received an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University. Andrew went to law school at Arizona State University.

Before becoming a lawyer, Andrew worked in the entertainment industry. He has producer credits for various documentaries made for HBO, including one short documentary that won an Oscar. It is no surprise that Andrew is interested in the intersection between employment law and entertainment law.
